after download all the rpms and installed them according to the following url, use the \”startsrc -s syslogng\” to start it, and then use \”lsstr -s syslogng\” to check the status, it shows inoperative. how to find the starting logs/trace for syslog-ng? any suggestions are much appreciated!!! by the way, I have tried to configure it as service and try to use the debug/trace mode, but meet the following error: syslog-ng -Fevd(or only -F, -d …) will throw out \”segmentation fault(core dumped)\” http://www.perzl.org/aix/index.php?n=Main.Syslog-ng

Hi, unfortunately, the AIX port of OSE is not actively maintained. Maybe you can try an older version of the package and see if it works for you?
